Privacy Policy

If anything here conflicts with a signed agreement between you and us, the signed agreement controls.

Who this covers

AI Play Designer is a tool, operated by Teascan LLC, a California limited liability company ("Teascan," "we," "us," or "our"), for coaches (adults) to design, animate, and print football plays. Accounts are for coaches, not for players or children.

What we collect

Account info — your name and email address, and a securely hashed password.
Sign in with Google — if you choose it, Google shares your name and email address with us to create and sign in to your account. We don't receive your Google password.
Roster labels — to help you organize plays, you may enter a first name, nickname, or jersey number for each player, plus optional 1–5 skill ratings. We do not ask for, and the roster form rejects, contact information (email/phone).
Your content — the playbooks, plays, formations, game plans, and notes you create.
People you share with — if you share a playbook with someone by email, we store that email address to send them the invitation and to give them access when they sign up.
Enterprise inquiries — the name, email address, organization and message you enter in the Enterprise contact form, used only to reply to you.
Payment info — handled by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record for purchases and sends your receipts (through its Link service). We never receive or store your full card number.
Usage data — we record a few product milestones (for example, your first saved or printed play) in our own database to improve the service. We don't use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Server logs — our servers log each request, including your IP address and browser type, to keep the service running and secure.

Youth athletes — our data-minimization stance

Football is often played by minors, so we deliberately collect as little about players as possible:

Player labels are limited to a first name, nickname, or jersey number. Please do not enter players' full names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, photos, or birth dates — the product is designed to work without them.
We do not knowingly collect contact information about children, and our service is directed to coaches, not to children.
You, the coach, are responsible for having the appropriate permission to enter any player information, and for keeping it limited to first names or numbers.

If you believe a player's personal information was entered in a way that shouldn't have been, contact us (below) and we will remove it.

How we use data

To provide and operate the play designer, AI co-coach, printing, and sharing features.
To process AI requests. Play descriptions you submit are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate plays; we instruct against sending player contact information.
To bill subscriptions (via Stripe) and to send account email (via AWS SES): verification, password resets, and trial and billing notices. Receipts come from Stripe's Link service.
To send a few onboarding tips in your first week (via AWS SES). Every tips email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing doesn't stop account email.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect forms, and, if you choose to stay signed in, a sign-in cookie that lasts 14 days. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. The site's fonts are served from our own servers, so loading a page doesn't share your IP address with a font provider.

Who we share with (subprocessors)

We do not sell your data. We share only what is needed to run the service with: Anthropic (AI generation) and AWS (hosting and email), which process data on our behalf under their own terms; and Stripe, which as the merchant of record sells your subscription, collects tax and sends receipts through its Link service, and handles the payment details you give it under its own privacy policy. If you sign in with Google, Google handles that sign-in under its own privacy policy.

Retention & deletion

You can delete playbooks, rosters, and players at any time from within the app. To delete your account and associated data, email us from the address on the account and we'll delete it. Server logs are kept for up to 30 days. Database backups are kept for 7 days and then overwritten, so deleted data can remain in a backup for up to 7 days after we delete it.

Security

Passwords are hashed (Argon2id), sessions expire after inactivity, and payment card data never touches our servers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your choices

You may access, correct, or delete your information, and you may close your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as GDPR or CCPA/CPRA.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
